Working with Arts Council England
In 2017 ABRSM initiated The Music Commission with backing from Arts Council England. The panel, chaired by Sir Nicholas Kenyon, Managing Director of the Barbican Centre, brought together performers, academics, educators and sector experts. The Music Commission’s final report was published on 4 March 2019. It sets out key themes and recommendations for improving how governments, music organisations, schools, teachers, parents and learners, support progress and progression in learning music.
